Karate clubs in Wakefield

Eight WYSOK clubs train across Wakefield, covering Sandal, Kettlethorpe, Crigglestone, Horbury, Ossett, Sharlston, Crofton, Normanton, Outwood and the villages between them. Newmillerdam Karate Club, its Pee Wee class and Junior Jitsu all run from the Lakeside Methodist Centre on Barnsley Road, and Optimal Martial Arts is a few minutes away at Standbridge Community Centre; between them they draw from Sandal, Kettlethorpe, Crigglestone, Calder Grove and Durkar, and cover karate, Ju Jitsu and self defence across four different nights. Eagle Rose School of Karate is at Horbury Methodist Church, serving Horbury and Ossett. Hanshin Martial Arts teaches both karate and kickboxing at Sharlston Community Centre, drawing from Sharlston, Crofton and Walton. Shinobi Martial Arts is at Kirkhamgate Village Hall, taking students from Kirkhamgate, Wrenthorpe, Flanshaw and Outwood. And Yojindo Ryu trains at The Brig on St Marys Road, covering Normanton and Altofts.
