Karate clubs in Barnsley

WYSOK’s Barnsley club, Trojan Karate, covers Darton, Kexborough, Mapplewell and Woolley Grange, training at Kexborough Methodist Church on Churchfield Lane. It is a well-established club running a single Wednesday evening class for all grades, open to anyone from six years old upwards, so a first-timer works alongside students who have been at it for years. Anyone in the north of the borough is also a short run up Barnsley Road from Newmillerdam Karate Club and its Pee Wee class for four to eleven year olds, both of which train on a Tuesday and a Thursday — worth knowing if a Wednesday evening does not suit.
